Professional Engineer

Thomas Lawrence is a Licensed Professional Civil Engineer in California, Illinois and Tennessee. After obtaining his BA in Geography and a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Memphis, he worked in consulting and local government in a variety of positions related to water quality.

He has continued to research stormwater infrastructure extensively and has developed several stormwater enhancement projects as well as training resources to educate the public on the importance of maintaining urban stormwater. He has served on the Board of the Tennessee Stormwater Association (TNSA), the TN Chapter and West TN Branch of ASCE, the Memphis Section of TSPE, the Memphis Area Geographic Information Council (MAGIC), and the Engineers’ Club of Memphis (ECM). He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and he established Thomas Lawrence Engineering, PLLC in May 2018.

Administrative Assistant

Kristen Persons serves as Administrative Assistant for TLE. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from Mississippi State University. She has worked on various projects in collaboration with TLE and has conducted extensive research into various environmental features and concerns, producing several articles on these topics. She joined TLE in 2018.
